April, May, and well now June too...

I was only 2 months behind, but now that I look at the calendar and see that June has now come to an end.. i'm officially almost 3 months behind on blogging!! ahh where has time gone :-/ Here is the condensed version of the past 3 months:

April

Easter:

Dyeing Easter Eggs:

Easter Bunny Visited our house:

Then he visited Grandma Nancy's:
And brought stuff for Connors friends too :-)

Our (forgot to take a picture dressed up) 2014 Family Easter Picture :-)

Gwen loves baby Vanessa

Smiles a bunch these days

Vanessa turns 3 months old.

My Best Friend Suzanne comes to visit one last time before they move to MT... A LONG LONG WAYS away!!! (well 15 hrs vs. the 4 it was from Seattle :-( Very sad..) we made the most of it and packed a bunch into the week they were there :-)

Suzanne took a beautiful updated family photo for us:

We did projects..

 Went to the park/school.....

Jeremy took the kids "hunting" in our backyard :-)

The kids got haircuts......

After.... Great Job Janet!

We also went to the Vintage Faire.. but didn't get any photos... found some very cute things :-)

Then we said our goodbyes :-(  We definately won't see each other as often, but when we do it will be for longer periods :-) I Will miss having my Bestie so close very much!!  that's what phones and internet are for right :-)!!

Everyday Life:

I found this pup.. and if it wasn't that we had 2 dogs already.. we might have kept her.... Connor was in love..

May:

Vanessa turns 4 months old, she is growing like a weed! She's already 15 lbs 3 oz and 24.5 inches long.. quickly moved from the 5% at birth, to 88% for weight and 75% for height! I am beginning to think my milk is more like straight cream!  :-) She is still a pretty happy baby, sleeps about 6 hours at night. She is smiling, but we still have to work pretty hard to get her to smile and giggle (not like Connor who would laugh at the drop of  a coin- literally :-) but we are loving that she is so calm and easy going. She started teething so she is drooling alot and has officially taken to chewing on anything she can, especially favoring her fingers!  I was kind of behind on getting her 4 month photo, but here is one from somewhere in between 4-5 months :-)

Everyday life:

Connor loves to help dad cut wood and unload it....

He's a VERY strong kid too!!

Our neighbors sheep got out and circled around our house eating the alfalfa for about an hour :-) Connor enjoyed it....

This day the only one not sleeping was me! coordinating naps doesn't happen very often (I didn't leave her here, she fell asleep there when I was putting Connor down, had to get a photo!)

Too cute!!

Hanging out being silly!

Connor was so excited that his "chones" and sissys diaper were the same color!

King of the dirt....(all our yard is this summer... LOTS of DIRT! and weeds :-/)

rented a tractor to move dirt/rocks around.... a small step towards a yard......

Connors sandbox... love the plumber crack!

They are best friends! and often covered in dirt together :-)

After a walk.... all tuckered out.. Amazing how much they are starting to resemble one another!

Spokane: Connor had surgery (on his boy parts.... it was minor, just had to be done before he got too much older and has more "volume" which is when it could have become a problem... won't go into TMI, but here are the pictures from our weekend in Spokane before his Monday morning surgery, we made the most of it :-)

Cabelas of course!

We stayed at Triple Play in Coeur d' Alene (Indoor Water Park, Outdoor fun center, and indoor arcade)  Connor was 1/2" too short for the outdoor rides... but we loved the indoor water park

Vanessa wasn't much into getting wet, but the warm humid room was great for a nap!

Connors first time rock climbing... Mom was a little rusty, plus with my RA in my hands, it wasn't as easy as it used to be.... I miss climbing though.. one hobby i'd love to be able to do more often!

Went bowling (with these mini balls... weird but fun!)

Mothers Day lunch..

In his "space suit" .. he was a pilot going into outerspace.... as far as he knew :-) The surgery was SOO fast, and he did great... but waking up wasn't so great.. the way they described it was that when adults wake up for anesthesia they are sleepy, kids get angry!... YEAH Angry doesn't even describe the 45 minute scene of Connor kicking, yelling, hitting, crying, pulling on his IV's etc. but at 45min. on the dot he flipped a switch and was the same old kid we sent into the operating room.... he won't remember it, but we'll never forget it! Hope to not need anesthesia soon!

Nana flew into Spokane and came home with us for the week to help in case Connor didn't do well... Which wasnt the case! you wouldn't have even known he'd had surgery . Papa came the following weekend....
Day after surgery

Weve been working on remodeling one of our rentals.. so of course when Dad was here we were there working... The contractor was 2 hours late to start the deck rebuilt.... so Dad decided to just start it and have him and I do it instead :-)  I actually enjoyed getting to get my "hands dirty" I LOVE this kind of stuff, but can't do it as easlily with 2 kids !

Connor helped too! I am a very easy going parent in regards to letting Connor explore his surroundings, however I normally wouldn't have let him do this (a step beyond my comfort level), but after reading an article my friend posted on facebook called "the overprotected child", I did, and was amazed observing him (closely :-) how he really could sense what was dangerous and what wasn't.... here's the link to the article.. pretty interesting (food for thought)

Nana and I making a supply run :-)

Duke cut his foot playing outside, so we bandaged it up, Connor wanted to match him... so we put a bandage on him too!

The only way to keep my dad from working when he is here is to have something planned... so we went to the kids fishing derby in Conconully... Connor caught a few (certainly no derby winner, but he was pretty excited and proud of himself!)

June:

Vanessa turned 5 months old, she is still pretty happy, especially when she is being held, but as long as she has something/someone (Connor especially) to watch she is content to be put down. She has the littlest feet.. still barely fits into a size 1! She is wearing 6-9 mo clothes, but about to move to jsut 9 mo. Still has CRAZY blue eyes and LONG eyelashes. Her newest thing is her scream... both for happy times and upset times.. it is a very high pitched, make you cringe scream! It was cute at first... but you can only think screaming is cute for so long ! :-) I am sure it is just a phase and won't last long. I guess she is truly a red-head :-) or maybe she'll be a singer!! She is staying pretty healthy, other than a weird rash that we finally figured out was 2 different rashes (yeast in the diaper and Eczema on her body). I have been using cloth diapers since 2 months old, but just switched back to disposables for 2 reasons, to get the rash under control and because she is getting SOO chubby that the cloth fits a little too tight around her tummy and legs and seems to be uncomfortable for her. I hope to switch back after she starts moving and looses some of the baby chubs.... :-)

Chelan Convention was Vanessa's first convention. Jeremy planned to go to the whole thing, but ended up having to go t Seattle Wed and Thursday for work, so instead of me attempting to stay in a tent with two kids by myself, Nancy offered for us to stay in the timeshare with her. It worked out well... I didn't get any pictures from convention, the only time I attempted was here and as you can see Vanessa wasn't interested :-)

We needed an updated family photo for some fathers day gifts I was making, so we snapped this after meeting one Sunday..

We got to go to Parma convention 2 weeks after Chelan, then Nicole and the kids stayed in Boise for an extra week. We rented pop up trailer to stay in which worked really well. These are the photos we got just hanging out in the trailer between meetings:

These are the updated family photo we got at convention...

This is Jeremy's mom's side of the family that were in attendance at convention. It's the Welch/Holtby/Draggoo photo:

Nana and Papa Yagues, the Draggoo 4 and Brian and his girlfriend Brianna:

Another couple of photos I snapped to use for Father's Day gifts :-) thought they were cute!

He was having fun sliding her around on the tile in her high chair.... she thought it was pretty cool too :-)

These are some outfits that a good friend of Jeremy's family made for the kids.. Marj is very talented and the detail on these outfits is amazing!

I am going to download the app to  phone for loading to my blog, so the rest of the pictures from Parma Convention and our trip to Boise will come soon... as well as our 4th of July weekend.. Then hopefully on our road trip to the Oregon Coast I can keep caught up as things happen, not 3 months later!
