Baby Room and Back to Bedrest

So I am back to strict bedrest until I get to 36 weeks.. (about 2 1/2 more weeks). What is to blame? spotting, thinning cervix, and a yeast infection (and maybe me not behaving on "modified bedrest"...bad Nicole)!!! I'm so ready for baby draggoo to be here so all I have to worry about is not getting any sleep and lots of laundry and dirty diapers~! Those will be the days.. and i'm not kidding! :-) I'm also looking forward to the smell of a new baby, his soft skin that is perfect to kiss, sitting for hours just staring at him while he sleeps, all of it... CANT WAIT!~!

I'm very glad I got this done when I did....

The baby room is basically put together.. here are the pictures of us putting it together and what it looks like.

Inspection crew making sure it is suitable and safe... :-)

Me and baby in his crib just before we make the final attachments!

The Crib... His name will go on the wall between the two trees after he is born

Whole thing.. I hope to put a rocking chair in soon.. if it will fit (it's a pretty small room..)

Changing Table

Valance and the animal wall decorations I painted.. They match the bedding

Now all that is left to add is a baby!

~~New Years Update~~

Sorry it's been so long since I updated!! It's been crazy here with being gone and our house project... but here's what we've been up to: A few weeks before Christmas, I had an ultrasound and it showed that I had had a significant change in my cervix (still within normal range though), so my doctor put me back on strict bedrest, I decided that if I was going to do bedrest, why not be in Boise where I would be close to a NICU hospital and I could hang out with my family instead of being home alone all day. So... Brian picked me up and drove me to Boise when he was done with finals, then Jeremy came down for Christmas and I went back to Omak with him. I got to spend 2 full weeks in Boise! I was pretty good about staying down and taking it easy, but I did decide that I HAD to go shopping a few times. At the mall my mom and grandma pushed me around in a wheel chair, then at Costco, JoAnns and Cabelas I got one of those motorized scooter things they have. It was great, EXCEPT that at JoAnn's I crashed the stupid thing into the cash register, then into the wall when trying to park it, and because it was in the checkout line, there were like 25 women watching!! SOOO humiliating. Here are the pictures of me getting around bedrest style!

We spent Christmas morning with Nicole's family: her Mom, Dad and Brother, and her Grandma and Grandpa Cable. These are us getting ready to open the presents...

We had a very nice weekend, very relaxing. We played games, went to a movie, ate lots of good food! and of course got a great deal of entertainment from the 4 dogs. One game that has been a Cable family tradition is called "Give Me 5". I've been playing it since I can remember, so we had to bust it out for a few matches.. :-)

While I was in Boise playing, Jeremy was at home working extremely hard to get the flooring done, or at least to a point that they could lay the carpet after new years. Here is one picture I took of him working on the new tile before I left for Boise. I'll post some of the AFTER pictures in a little while...... after we get our house back together! We still have a few weekends worth of work to do before it will all be done, the goal is to just have it complete before baby decides to introduce himself. We are re-doing every surface of flooring in the house in tile and carpet. So far it looks AWESOME!! They installed the carpet this past week, and we are both very happy with how it turned out!

When I was in Boise I met with my old doctor 2 times and had ultrasounds, they showed no change! YEAH.. I've had 2 more in Omak since then and they too show no change! So i'm back to working part time, and am hoping that this will last until the baby is born. With all of the stuff we bought for baby, and the new flooring, we can use all the money we can make right now. So even if i'm only part time, it's better than nothing!

For new years we didn't even make it until midnight! We did go over to some friends of ours in town to play games and have dinner, but only lasted until about 11:00. One of our good friends are also expecting.. they live in Pullman, but there family is here in Omak, so they were in town visiting for new years. She is due 2 weeks before me. This was taken at meeting on Sunday.

Wishing everyone a very happy 2011! I know ours will be filled with lots of sleepless nights, dirty diapers, laughter, happiness and love!
