21 Week Bump...

I am tracking my pregnancy with pictures. Here are a few of me at 21 weeks:

 We have out ultrasound tomorrow (Nov 1). If the baby is cooperating, we'll find out what we're having~!! Can't wait :-)

On the weekends, i've been doing a lot of photo shoots and here are a few of my favorites I've taken lately. I love photography, so any chance I get to take someones or somethings picture is a privelege... I am so relaxed when i'm behind a camera!!

Hawaii

I FINALLY GOT TO GO "HOME"!!!

We recently took a 7 day trip to the North Shore of Oahu with my Mom and Dad. We stayed right on the beach and the weather was AMAZING (especially for Oct). We basically didn't do much.... but that was the best part :-)

Most of the time we just cooked at the house, but we did go to Olas one night (fancy resturant at Turtle Bay resort) We also went out to Kuaiana Burgers in Haliewa and Haliewa Joes (because Nicole was crazing coconut shrimp :-)

Mom and I went for a walk to Foodland one morning to get coffee (I got a smoothie) and a few groceries, on the way back we saw this rainbow over Sharks Cove... it was beautiful.. I was glad I had the camera!

Dad and I went on the Shark Dive one day. Jeremy and I had done it before, but I thought it would be cool for my dad and I to go together, and Jeremy didn't mind staying home to watch football.

 They put about 8 people in a cage that has a big plexi glass window, you have a snorkle on and spend about 45 minutes in the water with these 10-15 footers swimming around us. It is a pretty cool excusion. Here are a few pictures from that..

I don't even look 4 1/2 months pregnant.. I guess that is a good thing, but I totally expected i'd "look" pregnant in Hawaii.. O well. This is our new wall portrait and may even be on the Holiday card :-)



 Mom and dad....

We had a very nice trip.. it was relaxing and great to spend time with mom and dad, this was the first vacation we've done with my family since we've been married (Brian couldn't come because of school :-( so that was a bummer) . I have been fortunate to visit Hawaii a few times throughout my life, and it was nice to get to share those memories with Jeremy. Hope we are able to continue the tradition with our kids :-)

Jeremy's Montana Elk Hunt

Jeremy drew a Bow hunting tag for Montana, it is good for Elk in late Sept and Deer in November, while he wasn't able to bring home an Elk, he saw some amazing footage of Elk. Of course these were all taken in a refuge where hunting is off limits.. I think animals know where the no hunt zones are :-) Although we don't have any Elk in the freezer, he had a great hunt and we have good pictures and videos... Enjoy a few of the pictures!

I've always loved maternity and tummy pictures, so I've decided to take some to track the changes and progress of my pregnancy. This is my little baby bump at 16 weeks, still not showing much, but it will be fun to compare these in a few months......



My latest project

A NEW FIREPLACE and PELLET STOVE

It is becoming a tradition that when Jeremy leaves for hunting trips, I do a "project" around the house. In the past i've buit entire storage shelving units in the garage, painted bathrooms and this time it was remodeling our outdated fireplace. I was going to go at it alone, but when I was asking my dad some questions, he simply said "when is Jeremy going hunting?" and offered to come and help-which I was SOOOO glad he did. There was no way I was lifting that old pellet stove out by myself, plus I wasn't feeling very good, so Dad did the majority of the work with tiling too. Maybe before I was pregnant I could have done it alone, but not now. We brainstormed and found a way to make it free standing. Oh and by the way, we ended up buying a whole new stove while in the process.. Between the tax rebate, city rebate and selling ours, this one is a bargain! So here are the before and after photos. I am loving the new look, I hope Jeremy will too!! :-)

BEFORE: The brick was stained with soot and starting to fall apart...... plus it was big and bulky.

AFTER: This is the same tile we will be using in the kitchen, laundry, bathroom and entrance this winter when we re-do our floors. We can actually walk in our front door without walking around a giant fireplace!! The whole thing only sticks out 9" as opposed to 18" before!

Sayulita Mexico

Hola! We are finally here in Mexico!~ We came with our good friends Justin and Pam Grillo and their adorable little girl Dakota! The weather is beautiful, the scenery is amazing and the food.... WOW the food rocks! blows Rancho Chico out of the water :-)

The internet isn't good enough to upload very many pictures so I'll add more photos when we get home, but here is what we've been up to so far:

Saturday: mostly travel, we flew out of Seattle early in the morning, connected in LAX and made it into Puerta Vallarta at about 4:30. Jumped on a bus and drove north for about 45 minutes to our final destination, Sayulita!! First thing was first, we had to get these fresh fruit popsicles Justin and Pam raved about (they were here 2 years ago). Then we met up with our ride to our house. The place we are staying is AWESOME~ very private and we even have a great view of the ocean! We got settled then went to get TACOS!! YUM... Finished the night off at the beach (had to at least get our toes wet :-)

The Sunset Sunday Night

Sunday: got up, made breakfast then headed to the beach~ were there about 3 hours, got lunch (more tacos) and went back for a Siesta :-) Jeremy burned pretty bad so he didn't go out in the sun again until Tuesday.We went exploring in the evening to a very secluded beach (looks just like the North Shore of Oahu` ~which Nicole was very excited about) we found a cocunut which the boys managed to break open witht the help of a large rock, and we enjoyed fresh coconut while watching the sunset.

Monday: Slept in, had breakfast at the house, then everyone but Jeremy went to the beach. Dakota is loving playing in the sand (Pam brought her a pink bucket and shovel, which is perfect). Went to lunch, then took a nap, Justin,Pam and Dakota went for a walk, Jeremy and Nicole went for a run then went again to the secluded beach to watch the sunset. Went to a great place for dinner, had Pozole and burritos. Pam got a shrimp burrito which she shared with Dakota, which at about 3am proved to be a bad idea! We were all scared to death because she started throwing up-continued to do so for about and hour, then LUCKILY was fine :-/ (we were all a little worried).

At dinner Monday Night

Tuesday: Went exploring (aka- lots of walking of the beach, we're all really sore) Walked through the "jungle", over some pretty steep rocks, and on the beach. Was beautiful, but we were all pretty tired, so we took naps again :-) Started our dinner out right with Churros from the Churro Man :-) Then we went to dinner with another couple (Nick and Oli from Seattle) who crazy enough, Justin and Pam meet 2 years ago when  they were here,  they are even staying in the house across the street from us.... talk about a small world! We had Fish Tacos, then got a piece of pie from the pie lady (we've done this every night).

At Lunch Tuesday .. The make these drinks called Liquados de Aguas (fresh fruit smoothies minus the ice.. YUMMM!)

Having a great time, this probabuly won't be the last time we come to this part of Mexico! We come home on Saturday, so I'll try to update the blog Sunday sometime! Wish you all could be here~
