December has been some what more laid back than November. We had special meeting the first weekend then have spent the other weekends working on one of our rentals. Here are some photos from the first part of the month, mostly just around the house, during ordinary days :-)
Connor has decided that this drawer is his, and tends to empty it when he's able to :-) It gives me time to get things done in the kitchen...
Another spot Connor spends some time throughout the day.. it's the gate next to where the dogs stay when they are inside. (their inside kennel....) One day I was busy in the kitchen and when I peeked around the corner to check on Connor, This is what I saw..
He isn't crawling yet.. but that doesn't mean things that are out of his reach are safe :-) While my first reaction to him dismantling my purse was frustration, it was very quickly replaced with outloud laughing and overwhelming happiness. I showed him how to "clean up"... then couldn't help but give him a little cuddle!
Connor loves to eat and is very good at it :-).. I love this picture because it shows his muscle tighting thing he does when he is excited.. it also shows his two bottom teeth
One night I decided to let Connor eat yogurt with his hands (i posted a video of it in my last post). I didn't get much done while he was eating it becuase it was so adorable. It may have been a mess, but I didn't care, it was worth it!
Connors way of eating yogurt, after playing in it first...
Connor in his new sled. We went out to watch Jeremy burning our very large burn pile :-) We haven't had but this little skiff of snow so far, which is very unusual for this time of year. I'm actually hoping we get some snow 1- because I think if it's going to be cold, there might as well be snow to beautify everything :-) and 2- so we can use Connors sled again!
Instead of baking cookies for everyone this year, I decided to make carmel apples:
The apples prepped and ready to be dipped in the carmel!
After being dipped.. cooling ;-) YUMM
Ready to hand out.....
Connors first word was Dog.. He loves dogs :-) He also loves books so as you can guess, this is one of his favorite books! It's titled "DOG" :-) He is getting so good had turning pages and looking at books, we read everynight before bed and usually throughout the day. Glad he is showing signs of being a reader! (his mommy isn't :-)
We will be spending Christmas with Jeremy's family at Grandma Nancy's house, can't was to see how Connor does his first Christmas!
