Fun Travels

Connor is walking!! Thanks to these Squeaky Shoes.. He has been "walking" about 4-10 steps at a time since his birthday, or long distances  holding someones hand, but he's just needed the confidence, motivation... or distraction to get him to do it on his own.. the shoes did the trick.. here is a video I got on my phone of him walking just minutes after I put the shoes on him the first time:

We went to Seattle/ Auburn a few weekends back to hang out with Brian and meet his girlfriend (we had kind of met her a year ago at Chelan Conv., but not since her and Brian were an item). It was a busy weekend and we had a great time. It was just nice to have the whole weekend with daddy without all of the work around the house or him working overtime! To top it off... the weather was beautiful... !! What a fun weekend :-)

Of course the first thing Connor discovered in Brians apt was his skateboard... he thought it was pretty cool riding around on it..

That evening we had Shane and Suzanne and Kalia over for dinner, Connor showed Kalia how fun the skateboard was.... I love the baby belly in this photo too :-) ANY DAY now.. Kalia will have a baby brother :-) can't wait!

Connor even pushed Kalia around...

Kalia tried Connors squeaky shoes on and LOVED them.. this is the cutest video of her!!

We made eggsand pancakes for breakfast.. and Connor LOVED them!! he licked his plate clean :-)

YUMMMM

LOOK at that grin!! this kid loves to eat!

We went to the Woodland Park Zoo on Saturday.. the weather was pretty good, and Connor held out most of the day.. got a little fussy around nap time, but for the most part he enjoyed all of the animals and people to watch!

This was the cutest gorilla, he was posing for photos and everything;... Until... he turned around and proceeded to reach under his legs and pull a piece of p**p out of his rear right in front of the glass, in front of everyone! NASTY... but gave us something to talk about... I wished I was video taping at that point.. that would have gone "viral" in no time!

Brian, Jaylin and Connor.... what a cute couple! :-)And doesn't connor look like he could be theirs! ha ha crazy resemblences!!

Brian snapped this photo of Jeremy, me and Connor... soo cute :-)

Connor spent a little of the day in the stroller.. but prefered to be carried or to walk... :0)

Us with the Giraffe in the background

Connor and I riding on the play hippo! it was wet on both sides, so that's why my feet are up like that...

Connor watching the otters swim by

There is a ZooMazium.. for kids to play in.. this is the rock structure for climbing on...

and this is Connor making music on the drums...

Connor and Daddy looking at the pink flamingos and fish... this area stunk terribly so we didn't stay there for long!!

The Elk were cool to see this up close and personal, but it wasn't anything too out of the ordinary for us.. not like lions and gorillas and giraffes...but what was interesting and special, is that while we were looking at the animals, Jaylin was walking Connor around with his squeaky shoes. The Bull Elk had just been minding his own business feeding away, but the squeakyness of Connors shoes sounded enough like a cow call, that he quickly came our direction to investigate.. it was very cool :-) and Crazy that squeaky shoes would attract a Bull Elk.. maybe Connor will be going hunting with daddy this year.... ;-)

Looking at the Bull Elk who was very close at this point :-)

After Seattle, Jeremy went back to Omak for another week of work, and Nicole and Connor flew to Boise for a week for the "Parade of Homes". There were 40 newly contructed homes to view, and the idea was to get ideas for our house, which we hope to break ground on in the next month or so.... and Ideas did I get.. I was overwhelmed after about 30 homes.. They gave me plenty of ideas for decorating, designing and planning.. We pretty much have our floor plan set, but its deciding on colorsnd material for flooring, cabinets, countertops, paint, exterior siding style, window and door style and color, fixtures, etc.. that we are still trying to determine.. and I got a very good idea and feel after seeing so many homes.

I also had a nice time being in Boise with the family as usual... Connor is VERY into airplanes right now, so getting to fly was a highlight for him this trip...
SEA--> BOI portion of trip... getting him away from this window to the boarding area was a bit tricky..... but we made it there.. and to Boise safely!!

We stopped at the shop to take Grandpa lunch one day, and he took Connor for a ride on the fork lift.. which was also VERY exciting :-)

Boys and their toys!

Eating a homeade popscicle :-) used the leftover smoothie from breakfast so it was VERY healthy.. but was still delicious!

Connor has gotten quite good at throwing balls.. so he enjoyed the game of fetch he played with Bentley :

Playing a racecar game with Grandpa when we were out to dinner one night during the Parade of homes...

The kids store where I am working part time has one of these Melissa and Doug shopping carts, and I am always sendig videos to family of him playing with it... he LOVES it.. so my mom decided that with all the hard surfaces they have at their house, they needed one there.. so it came in the mail Tuesday, and Connor hardly let it go the whole week.. including right after his bath!! :-)

Who doesn't love baby buns!!

Officially WALKING.. everywhere.. Some photos of the big milestone!

SOO excited with himeslf!

loves being chased!!

Playing the Ukelele... I have a video of it too :-)

Here are a FEW o the hundreds of photos I got at the parade of homes that we plan to incorporate in our house:
the island is angled so it creates a tirangluar work area.. also liked the way cainets went to ceiling and how upper cabinets have glass..

creative and practical way to use under stairs with kids.. still debating on this one..

not so much a fan of the color, but the way they used 2 different siding materials but painted them the same color...

LOVE the insets and tile work in this shower....

Saw these in basically EVER home.. we already had something similar drawn into to the plan for the mud room area...

Of all the kitchens.. this one for some reason was my favorite.. didn't think white cabinets and back splash would b the top choice.. but that bended with the stainless steel and grey countertops was a very classy clean mixture.. and in that house they mixed it with very rustic touches.. which is whatI see ours being like... so we are still debating on this idea too.. but I LOVED t!

Love the half glass half tile idea....

SOOO awesome! i'm thinking for the bathrooms and kitchen they POP UP!! glad I married an electricial to figure out how these are done...

Another popularthing was build in's like this one..

Love the lights in this bathroom

hello practical! double oven with micro above...

the style of rock we like and plan to use for our fireplace...

LOVED this rustic table and light fixture...

nice clor scheme and rockwork......

Saw SOO many more ideas.. but these are a few of the favorites :-) very productive week!!

The giant window at the SeaTac airport is AWESOME for kids to view airplanes...

Connor loving watching the planes take off and land

We flew home Mothers Day Sunday. and have been getting back into the swing of things, trying to get ready for a few long weekends away...  Here's a few random photos from the past week at home

playing in his sandbox one morning.... Grandma Nancy found htis awesome sandbox/pool combo at a yardsale.. and Connor has spent a great deal of time in it since!

Mothers Day 2012 picture!!

I love how he's looking u at me ikn this one :-) Precious!

At work one day.. playing in the hangers.. one of his favorite things.. makes a mess to clean up.. but he spends such a great deal of time there, it makes the few minutes t takes to pick it up no big deal!

We've had a few really warm days, so I filled up the pool side and let Connor get wet! he splashed himself in this picture.. love the look of shock and excitement on his face.. below is a great video of him playing

Connor helped dad mow the lawn.. which was great for me.. I got lots done in the house having my hands free.. and Connor (and dad ) had a great time together!! :-)

Memorial Day weekend we will be going to McCall for 2 nights, which will be SOO nice.. we haven't been to McCall since we got married almost 5years ago...then we will go to Boise for the remainder of the weekend to see Nicoles' family from Colorado, some whom we haven't seen in years as well.. so it shoud be a nice 5 days off.. Then the following weekend is Chelan Convention, which we will get all 4 days of as Jeremy is taking Thursday off.. Should be 2 very wonderful weeks ahead!
