Busy start to a busy summer..

I'm obviously way behind on blogging! My appologies :-) I keep promising to do better, but I may just have to change my to a more realistic goal.. like once a month updates.... we'll see :-)

Memorial Day weekend we took a  long weekend trip which started in McCall, ID- where we were married on 7-7-07.. We hadn't been back to visit since we were married almost 5 years ago so it was a nice little getaway, kinda of a pre-anniversary celebration :-) stayed 2 nights in Mccall then headed on to Boise for a family reunion.. Here's the photos from McCall:

It's not a trip to McCall without breakfast at the Pankhouse House! We ate there both mornings :-) Connor ate an entire kids size french toast and eggs!! This kid can eat! We are in trouble :-)

The lake we were married on almost 5 years ago, not the same dock, but very close :-) It was a little chilly so we didn't spend too much time outside, or we woul dhave walked out onto the dock we were "legally married" on... our actual wedding and ceremony which everyone attended was actually about 15 minutes away at a golf course in New Meadows, but the lake in McCall will always be extra special for us!

Connor and Daddy getting ready to go for a swim in one of the many hot springs around the area!

So excited to get in the warm water!

Connor was loving the games Dad was playing with him!

Family photo!...

Mom and Connor playing games in the rain (yeah it started to rain on us, which was ok since the water was so warm)

Next stop on our little weekend get away was Boise to see the Cable side of the family, many who we hadn't seen in  quite some time

Brian and Jaylin playing the piano with Connor

I'm not sure what the difference was of being in Boise, if it was all of the people or just his developmental stage hit at the perfect time, but it was there that he got over his stranger anxiety and fear of large crowds.. he blossomed into this social.. spotlight loving kid :-)

This is the video of how and why he started to blossom into enjoying the spotlight :

He kept Dads hat on and actaully seemed to like it :-)

again clapping to get everyone else to clap :-)

He discovered he could see himself in the tub overflow :-) SO CUTE!

With Grandma after meeting waiting for our seat at lunch.. he thought the balloon was pretty cool

Getting rid of some energy before lunch..

The Cable side of the family at lunch..

Connor again hamming it up with an even bigger crowd! He thought it was cool to wear my glasses.. but liked the attention they got him most!

On the way home from Boise we stopped at a rest stop where the lighting was beautiful and Connor was in a great mood, so I took the opportunity to get a few pictures .. Basically these are Connors 15 mo photos.. I never got around to setting up a "photoshot".. I think they turned out ok for being last minute :-)

So hard to believe that 15 mo (16mo by the time I am getting to the blog) has gone by!! He's such a joy.. we can't imagine life without him :-) I do think it is time to officially start calling him a toddler, not a baby (however he'll always be my baby.... :-)

The new Yagues Family photo...

These are a few pictures and videos of us hanging out at home between weekends...

Connor likes my Camelbak better than his... ha ha of couse!

Connor with his buddies...waiting to go outside

Funny video of Connor "helping" me at the consignment store one day....

We had Chelan convention the first weekend of June.. Connor was absolutely perfect.. everyone told us last year when he was only 3 months old and we were exhausted that "next year will be so much worse"... but it wasn't ! He was the perfect age.. starting to get independent, so would play with other kids, but still wanted us near, and couldn't run fast enough to disapear... He is also still taking 2 naps a day.. so he pretty much slept every morning and afternoon meeting which was great! In fact when we got home, I think the lack of routine wasn't well accepted! I've actually started trying to time his naps at 10:00 and 2:45 give or take :-) ha ha.. we do what works right!

Connors infamous rolling arms while walking, which started at convention.. pretty cute- wish I could get inside his head and know why he does it.. but I never will, it will just always be something unique to Connor :-)

Connor with Lydia putting rocks  through the holes on the ramp

Uncle Brian with Connor and I

Lydia teaching Connor how to smell flowers!

"smelling the flowers" :-) I think he was more just letting them tickle his nose and make a scrunchy nose face.. ha ha :-) But he's getting the right idea.. now anytime he sees something resembling a flower or leaf.. he stops, bends over and "smells" it then looks up and giggles...

Connor in his Sunday outfit!

Jeremy and his cousin Josh, Becky and brother Braden

Our  convention family picture

Jeremy's family

Us with 2 of the 3 Uncles :-)

Connor was walking up and down the ramp by himself at first.. but it must have looked like fun.. because he drew in quite a crowd.. The ramp has pretty sharp spikes for traction.. that might have done some damage on a little ones knees or hands who it just getting comfortable walking.. So Jeremy was helping him out.... It was pretty fun to see Jer up there surrounded by kids :-)

Durning tear-down Connor and Lydia went to town digging in the dirt. ..Connor had wanted to do that all of convetion, so he was a very happy boy!

Back Home......and now to yard work to get the house ready to list...So we did everything we could to find activities to keep Connor occupied
We filled the pool up with warm water from inside and Connor loved it..

Good start to what he'll likely be doing a lot this summer as the weather warms up. He is splashing in this picture.. Below is a video of the action :-)

Video of Connor on his "waterslide" .... all of this was so fun we didn't get ANY yard work done because we were playing with him!! ha ha amazing how little work gets done nowadays :-) o well, we will never get these moments back!

**FATHERS DAY 2012**
Connor and Dad on Fathers Day.. The sun was so bright it made for a little bit squinty photo.. but it's still cute :-)

For Fathers Day we went out to lunch at Los Camperos in Brewster with Luke, Verla and Dan after Sunday morning meeting. Across from the restaruant is an aircraft on display... Connor of course noticed it right away, so we decided to take a few "Daddy and Me" photos with it :-)

Connors newest favorite thing to do(among many favorites) is to help feed the chickens. Luckily these irrigation type boots I bought him a month or so ago still fit :-) I thought this was an adorable photo of him and dad in their boots!

Connor is getting so big and grown up... Physically he definately looks more like a toddler now than an infant.. He is thinning out significantly, actually hasn't gained any weight in at least 4 months, but has just kept gaining inches in height!.. He can be a handful at times with the typical tantrums and having a mind of his own, but signing has significantly reduced the language frustration, it's more just the not being willing to always do what is asked of him :-) Speaking of sign language, he knows about 30-40 words thanks to Baby Signing Time! He is crazy mobile, walking forward and backward... running... and even climbing. Loves to be outside and it starting to talk all the time.. Some words are understandable, a lot is still babble for now. We understand words he says like dog, woof, thank you, love you, mama, dada, there, mak mak (his version of what a chicken says),  dat, he knows the animal sounds for horse, cow, dog, chicken, kitty, monkey, bird others I can't think of right now :-) He also knows the difference when looking at pictures between basically all things that go (motorcycle, 4-wheeler, hay baler, tractor, lawn mower, airplane, boat, trycicle, race car, truck... it goes on :-) definately a boy!!

Coming up: Trip to Chelan with the Draggoo Family, Trip to Denver CO for our annivesary to attend the Brother of the Sun concert (Tim McGraw and Kenney Chesney!!) We have REALLY good seats so we are stoked! Then first part of August Jeremy is going to Alaska with the "guys" for a fishing trip (i'm a little jealous...) but I get to go to Boise for a week, while i'm there I will photographing a wedding of a friend from high school.

Also the 1st of August we plan to break ground on our house!! YEAH... hard to believe it's really here.. VERY Exciting, but it will definately make the rest of the summer and fall BUSY.. We most likely will just get it "shelled in.. and whether tight" then we'll stop contruction until our current house sells, which in this market could take a while, the sooner it sells the sooner we'll be able to finish building.. so we are hoping for a quick sale :-)  That's all for now.. I hope to keep up and blog again soon :-)
