Oahu Baby

I grew up going to Hawaii basically every year, it was the one place my dad could really relax and we have "family"who live there.. We usually stayed with them or at  at another house on that beach.. So the North Shore of Oahu has always felt like my second home! It was AWESEOME gettring to share it with Connor, even if it was only for a few days :-)

In the gazebo... spent many a mornings eating breakfast and days playing Uno and evenings listening to the surf while the sun was setting.. :-)

Connor loved these homeade wooden toys that unco Gary made over 20 years ago.. I played with them when I was just a little kid :-)

Mr. curious...

I finally figured out the best way to keep him out of the sand, was to have a bucket of water for him to play in .. It worked GReaT!! :-)

Connor, his fauxhawk, a palm leaf and sunset! Could it get any better :-)

Me Mom Connor and Brian on the beach at sunset!!

I found this towel for Connor.. I LOVE it!!  What a cool idea too!

The other place where many memories were made through the years was the LOFT!!! This is Connor reading his new favorite book in the loft!! So cool to be able to share all of this with him!

At Gary and Cyndies house, they have this spot (the doors of their laundry) where for the past 20 years they've been getting hand prints of their neices and nephews who come to visit. It was hard to find a spot, but we did and added Connors mark on the door :-)

getting the paint on his foot.. it tickled ;-)

SMILES I Love it :-)

Here goes!!

Connor is officially a Santa's By the Sea, North Shore Baby!!!

This was Uncle Brian's handprint from 1995

and mine from 1993 (we were some of the first to put handprints on the doors!)

WOW..  :-)and that's only a fraction of the prints they have!

Connor turned 8 months old while we were in Hawaii.  His stats at 8 months old are weighs 24.5 lbs is wearing 18 months clothes. He is still in the 98th percentile for weight, 88th for height and still has a "big head" (95th % has to wear 12-18 mo hats) :-) He has one tooth and the second just poked through in Hawaii!! He is still nursing as well as eating 3 meals of solid foods a day and is amazing with his fine motor skills (picking up food with his thumb and index finger)... he loves meats, and bread the most! :-) When we were in Hawaii I made sure to get some pictures for his 8 month page! These are my favorite 3 I took on the North Shore:

What a stud!

This one shows his teets (on the bottom) :-) Orange is still my favorite color on him !

Before we left I had to get some final photos of us on the beach.... here is our little "shoot" :-)
He decided I need a big kiss in this one!! I LOVE it ;-)

"OK I can smile now that I've told you I love you"

North Shore Sand.. Nothing else like it :-) At the rate he's growing... I am sure within af few years his feet will out grown mine!

Being tossed into the air at sunrise.. how cool :-) He is our little adrenaline junkie, so this always makes him giggle!

Grandma and Connor on our last morning!

Uncle Brian and Connor at the top of the stairs to the beach.. Brians legs were pretty worn out by the end of the trip, so walking on sand was a little uncomfortable.. :-(

Connor with Grandma and Auntie Cyndie.. So glad she let us come visit her and Gary's house again! THANKS Auntie and Unco for letting us stay and for introducing Connor to "Santas By The Sea" and the North Shore! :-)

Before we went to the airport we went out to eat.. and guess who was a special guest at the restaurant raising money for a charity... Miss Hawaii herself!! Connor liked her flower, right after I snapped this photo, he snatched it out of her hair, luckily it wasn't real ;-)

A great way to end the trip! beautiful!!

Cant wait to go back... with Jeremy next time though!! Big thanks to my mom and dad and to everyone else who helped make this trip possible for Connor and I... and especially to Jeremy for letting us go without him... luckily he had success with his hunting trips! Which brings me to my next blog post :-)
