Maui Baby

From October 29-November 5, Nicole and Connor were in Maui Hawaii with Nicole's family for a wedding. Jeremy only had so much leave time and already had an elk hunt planned, so he wasn't able to join us.. :-( Connor did great flying over and seemed to love the warm weather as much as we did!

Connor is loving playing peekabo now, and the fact that we rented a van meant that he had someone sitting behind him (in front of him.. however you want to look at it) was great! He had someone to play peekabo with while we were driving :-)

PEEK A BOO!

The only downfal to having an 8 month old on the beach is that everything goes in the mouth.. so basicaly instead of laying out relaxing in the sun like the days pre-baby.. I was constantly keeping his hand (sand) out of the mouth.. :-) O well a little sand never killed anyone right?

We were in Maui for a wedding, the wedding of Dustin Grant and Brookney Fair. They were to be wed on Nov 4, when all of Dustins family got to town, (we shared a house with them) we decided to go on a little snorkle excursion.. we took the Alli Nui sailboat!! It was HIGH CLASS :-) a Beautiful Boat and a great crew.. it was  one of the highlights of the trip!

This is a pictuer I got.. I was the only one on the boat to see an octopus.. and I got a photo of it! I found out later, these big blue fish were actually trying to eat it. They gang up on them to get them out of their hiding place, then basically eat them.. I was kinda glad Ididn't see that part!

Connor is discovering how fun the mirror can be! :-) The one in my room was great as it was big and low enough to the ground I could just set him there!

Yeahl.. more beach time!

This was after a few hours of playing in the warm Hawaii air :-)

While we were in Hawaii He started to figure out how to hold himself up on his hands and knees... It was usually only for a few seconds.. but its progress!! :-)

We went to Lahaina and got the most incredible shave ice EVER!! I thought Matsumotos on Oahu was good... nothing compared to these! :-) Connor throught so  too!

My best friend Suzanne was also in Hawaii for the wedding (Dustin is actually her REAL cousin.. we just grew up calling him our cousin, but Suzanne is blood family :-) So while we didn't get to spend all that much time together.. it was great to get the kiddos together to play..Probabuly the only time in our life we will be in Hawaii together without our husbands. Suzanne stayed at a condo with a pool..Which is SOO much more practical for babies than the beach! :-)

After the pool time we got the kids in the bath together.. looking at this picture and their size, you wouldn't know that COnnor is 6 months younger than Kalia...  This will so be blackmail material when they are about 16 :-)

I don't have any pictures of the ceremony to put on here because Iwas taking pictures with Taylors camera (Dusting brother who was in the wedding) SO I don't have any for myself.. I'll have to get the ones I took from taylor.. Sorry .. It was a beautiful wedding!! :-)

The last morning on Maui, Gpa Kevin doesn't get to go to Oahu with Brian Gma Shelly Connor and I becasue he has to work :-( but Connor sure had fun hanging out with Grandpa all week! I think Grandpa kinda liked it too :-)

Aloha... off to Ohau for 3 days! :-)
